Two new millinery pieces-one is a deep copper silk hood with light interior padding. It is trimmed with antique jet glass work and silk ribbon.
It is for Civil war/Dicken's Fair era.
The other is a Regency bonnet done in a type of cotton dimity organdy, a close match to fabrics found from the 19th century.
Both are completely hand sewn

Here are some shots of the Doll Party painting. Now that the piece is covered, each area will need to be addressed again.
This piece's scale has me working it in stages, rather than finishing one area fully and then moving on.
I am also planning the next large piece, a 30x40 Pow Wow dancer. I needed to change some of the color relationships, as the reference shot had just about every color known to man in it. This is a bit of a split compliment scheme, orange/red and yellow with blue and green.

Here are two more finished paintings. The smaller piece is a 12x9 oil on linen board title "Prized Beadwork."
The other is 12x16 oil on linen canvas title "Young Navajo."
I am now finally back to the large doll themed still life, going over each area with more finesse.

Here is a new still life painting-"Roses in Copper." It is a 12x16 oil on linen canvas. I wanted to do a more high contrast piece with blue china and metal.
One of my students brought me flowers last week, and they were used in the set-up.
